Everything you need to know about Pocket Gamer Connects Vancouver 2016

It may be several months away, but we’re already getting excited for our Pocket Gamer Connects Vancouver 2016 event on June 28-29.

We’re bringing our world-renowned mobile gaming event to Canada for the first time ever this summer, and we’d love you to be a part of it.

There’s plenty to see and do, including 7 different conference tracks, dedicated pitching events, networking throughout the conference, and our legendary Pocket Gamer party.

Something to talk about

The conference tracks we have on offer cover a range of topics, such as:

  • Indie Futures - A dedicated track for indie developers and how they can survive and thrive in the modern mobile ecosystem.
  • East Meets West: Global Mobile Gaming - Exploring the hottest regions, biggest trends, and best opportunities for mobile game publishers today including a focus on eSports and the latest from Asia.
  • Future Visions: VR & Beyond - A dedicated track looking at VR (not exclusively mobile) and emerging technologies that will affect the industry.
  • Monetise, Retain, Acquire - The latest tips, trends, and techniques in UA and monetisation.
  • Mobile Games University - A dedicated track full of practical tips and workshops on everything from creating great ideas to running live ops.
  • Show Me the Money - Exploring the different sources and approaches of raising funds, from angels and publisher partnerships to government funding and VCs.
  • Made in Vancouver - A dedicated track celebrating the best of BC.

We’ll also have our 20/20 SpeedMatch pitching event running, for developers looking to work with a publisher, as well as a dedicated investor event.

Stay independent

For indies, we’ll have our I Love Indie Showcase, allowing developers to show off their games to attendees in a dedicated expo area.

And we’ll be hosting another of our Big Indie Pitches, where indie developers can get their game in front of journalists and industry experts in a speed-dating style event, with the chance to win fabulous prizes.

The Very Big Indie Pitch at London 2016

It’s a busy couple of days, and that’s why we’ll also be throwing a Pocket Gamer Party on the night of the first day, giving you the chance to have a few drinks, blow off some steam, and network in a more relaxed environment.

Get in early

If that all sounds good, we already have Early Bird tickets available, so be sure to grab a discounted ticket before the price starts climbing closer to the time.

Or if you’ve got a topic to talk about that you think would fit in with one of our tracks, we are still looking for speakers to give talks, so be sure to head over to our speaker submission form and pitch us something.

We’re looking forward to making our Canadian debut one of our best events yet, so be sure you grab a ticket, and we’ll see you at Pocket Gamer Connects Vancouver 2016.
