Summoners War hits $500 million in lifetime revenues, boosting Com2uS to another sales record

Korean mobile game publisher Com2uS (KOSDAQ:078340) has announced its FY2016 Q1 financials, for the 3 months ending 31 March 2016.

Revenue was $119 million, up 16% quarter-on-quarter.

Net income was $41 million, up 30% compared to Q4 FY16.

Once again, international sales - 87% of the total - were the key driver for Com2uS, up 17% to $103 million.

Top RPG

Com2uS' breakout RPG Summoners War continues to break records, especially in North America.

Downloaded only 60 million times, since its April 2014 Korean launch, the game has now generated over $500 million in lifetime revenues, which are split 25% North America, 20% Japan, 15% Europe, 14% China and 13% Korea.

It generated $85 million during the FY16 Q1 period.

And hence Com2uS thinks the game has plenty more opportunity.

It reckons it can level it up from being a "global top class RPG" to being a "global top game".
