Stugan 2016 reveals participants, announces Rami Ismail and Peter Vesterbacka as mentors

Not-for-profit Swedish games accelerator Stugan has announced the teams and mentors that will be taking part in this year's program.

21 participants from across the globe, making up 13 teams, will live and work together, creating games for both PC and mobile across a wide range of genres.

Notable entries include Tom Francis, ex-games journalist and designer of PC game Gunpoint, and the team behind Cat Date, a mobile game that sees you dating cats.

Diversity and passion

Joining the mentors are Rami Ismail, co-founder of Vlambeer, and Peter Vesterbacka, Mighty Eagle at Rovio, who will offer advice and guidance to the participating teams.

“This year is going to be exceptional as the diversity, passion and energy from participants is seemingly unmatched," said Jana Karlikova, manager at Stugan.

"We have everyone from established programmers, ex games journalist turned indie developer, to toy maker/artist teaching themselves programming to make their dream game a reality."
