Very Big Indie Pitch comes to PG Connects Helsinki on 5 September

The Big Indie Pitch is getting even bigger and better when PG Connects Helsinki returns in September.

The Very Big Indie Pitch is a mammoth developer pitching competition open to all types of independent developers working on mobile, VR, wearables or handheld games, wherever they are.

Sponsored by Amazon Appstore and Chillingo, the event will take place at the Wanha Satama in Helsinki, Finland on September 5th and 6th.

Pitching in

Despite being bigger – the setup is still dead simple.

On September 5th, developers will get four minutes to pitch their game to leading mobile journalists, before moving on to the next group and doing it all over again.

Five finalists are then chosen to spend day two (September 6th) showcasing their game to PG Connects Helsinki delegates who will vote for their favourites.

The winners will then be announced on stage at the end of the day.

Get in

It's a unique chance to get your game in the hands of major players in the industry, as well as getting immediate feedback from them while you're at it.

This VERY Big Indie Pitch will also reward the top developers with a share of a promotional prize package worth $7,000. Not bad.

You’ll also come away with expert insights on your game, something past BIP participants have assured us is invaluable.

Not sure if your game's eligible? Well:

  • You can pitch games for mobile, VR, handheld and even for smartwatches.
  • You can pitch your game even if you've pitched it at a previous BIP.
  • We prefer to see unreleased games, though we're happy to see games that are out too.
  • Your game doesn’t have to be completed, as we welcome games in development.
  • Deadline for entries is midnight on August 15th 2016 (entry details below).

Sound good? Then head over to the event page to find out more about how to submit your game.

To pitch your game on the Very Big Indie Pitch, head over to the Pocket Gamer Business Network to register your game with us. We'll get in touch with you nearer the time to confirm whether you have received a place on the pitch.

NOTE: Shorlisted entries receive two free passes to PGC Helsinki 2016. Non-shortlisted entries qualify for a discounted PGC ticket.

Whether you're pitching or spectating, don't forget to bring your business cards with you.
