LA-based mobile publisher Firefly Games has raised $10 million after closing its second funding round.

Leading the investment was China Construction Bank International Holdings, an arm of one of China's big four banks, along with China Credit Limited Holdings.

The funding will be used by Firefly to publish games based on Hollywood IPs, with the company having already formed a development team to begin work on its first licensed title.

"We see an expansion opportunity to diversify and leverage our current strengths into Hollywood IP, VR, and e-sports," said Firefly CEO Michael Zhang.

The studio had previously raised $8 million in February 2015 with the goal of bringing Chinese games to the US market.

Firefly Games has worked on titles such as Dungeon Crash, Rush of Heroes and Epic Knights.
