Zynga has soft-launched a new version of its Words With Friends game appropriately titled New Words With Friends.

The game is currently only available in New Zealand on Android. It was launched on October 19th 2016.

New Words With Friends isn't much different from old Words With Friends. Its main improvements are a cleaner UI and a better dictionary so users can learn about the words they're using.

Ready to relaunch

It does suggest that Zynga is on the verge of making a big push to relaunch the title. It had suffered a loss of MAUs earlier in 2016.

However, implementation of iMessages in the game has also helped it out recently. The game saw an increase of 74% of downloads following the addition.

Zynga sales and profits have seen a consistent loss quarter-on-quarter, though the company has had some success with its social casino titles such as Zynga Poker, where it makes most of its money.
