Kabam has revealed its upcoming game with Hasbro's Transformers license will be a 3D fighter called Transformers: Forged to Fight.
The game features Autobots and Decepticons rendered in 3D, fighting in a 2D arena. There will also be RPG elements where players can level up their bots and unlock new moves and transformation attacks.
The premise will instantly feel familiar to Marvel: Contest of Champions fans. It has been Kabam's most successful game to date, reaching $100 million in revenues faster than any of its other titles.

"The Transformers franchise and its characters are larger than life, and Kabam is working closely with Hasbro to develop a game that lives up to that expectation,” said Mike McCartney, Executive Producer at Kabam.
"It will be a thrilling experience for long-time fans of the brand as well as newcomers, offering players incredible visuals, action-packed gameplay, and a truly immersive world."
The game was first announced in August 2016 with no details as to its exact nature. It is expected to enter beta soon, with a full launch in Spring 2017.
Hasbro has seen success with its Transformers brand most recently with Space Ape Game's Transformers: Earth Wars. That game was also noted as being similar to Space Ape's previous titles.
