Majesco exits games industry after merging with medical firm

Majesco Entertainment has left the games business after merging with medical firm PolarityTE.

Majesco is know for publishing titles such as the Cooking Mama series and Zumba Fitness.

The firm had been struggling financially for some time, and has now completely changed its business plan to enter the medical industry.

No more games

PolarityTE will now become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Majesco, but Majesco will operate under the PolarityTE name.

The firm aims to develop new regenerative medicine for use in medical procedures requiring reconstructive applications by surgeons and wound care specialists.

The new company will be spearheaded by Denver Lough as its new CEO and Chairman of the Board. He replaces former Majesco CEO Barry Honig.
