Mysterious mobile tech company Wonder plans to launch "one device to rule them all" in 2017

Mobile hardware developer Wonder is gearing up to launch its mysterious new product in early Q4 2017.

The device is designed to act as a "one size fits all" solution to the problem of owning multiple devices for different tasks. It is said to have links to both VR and AR.

It is being designed to cater specifically for gamers but to do more than just play games. It is also being designed to be user-friendly so that just about anyone can use it.

One device to guide them

"We think of this as one device to rule them all. That’s what will make it unique and exciting for users," said Wonder CEO and co-founder Andy Kleinmann in an interview with VentureBeat.

The device is set to launch towards the end of 2017. Further details, such as price, launch countries, what the device looks like, or what exact capabilities it will have, are currently unknown.

Wonder has the financial backing of 8VC, Greycroft Partners, Third Wave Digital, Jeff Kearl, Nolan Bushnell, Hayao Nakayama, Kevin Spacey and more. It currently has offices in Seattle, Los Angeles and Shenzen.
