Launching Bean&Gone in the coming months

Children's interactive media brand Beans Entertainment closes $374,000 in seed funding

Cardiff-based interactive children's brand Beans Entertainment has secured £300,000 to launch its brand and services.

Funding was led by Saracen Ventures, Smart Anchor Capital, and a number of independent investors including Charles Smith, COO of Shoezone, and Nick Pendleton, former Head of Royal Mail Ventures.

The studio will be producing digital and physical media for children using its own distinct Bean&Gone brand. Storybooks and activity apps are planned on both Android and iOS with AR functionality and VR apps currently being explored.

Significant value

"We're thrilled to have secured this funding from such prominent investors whom I know will add significant value to our business beyond their cash investment," said CEO and co-founder Dan Clemo.

"The new funds will provide us with the necessary operating cash flow to launch Bean&Gone after nearly 3 years of creative design and character building. We're also planning to hire a number of new employees to help with technical and commercial development."

Those interested in learning more about the brand and its characters can check out the new interactive website built to lead up to the brand's major launch.
