Tag Games kicks off live ops business by collaborating with Flaregames on Nonstop Knight

Moving away from development to look after other studios' games

Tag Games kicks off live ops business by collaborating with Flaregames on Nonstop Knight

Dundee-based mobile developer Tag Games has taken over live operations for flaregames' popular idle-RPG Nonstop Knight.

According to Tag Games' website, it has been handling live ops on the game since January 2017.

It will continue to develop new features and run live events in the game. It will also use player analytics to inform future updates and optimise the game in-line with player expectations.

"We're delighted to be managing live operations on such a major hit. With publisher flaregames remaining deeply involved in the project, it ensures our work stays true to the original vision of the game," said Tag Games CEO Paul Farley.

"The team at flaregames are in daily contact with our developers and we can't wait to collaborate on further updates in the coming weeks and months."

Room to grow

This comes as Tag Games looks to expand its live operations division and begin handling more games from more developers. The studio is currently in talks with other companies to add more titles to its roster.

It currently handles live ops for its own games such as Angry Birds Action! and Downton Abbey: Mysteries of the Manor. Nonstop Knight is the first game which it did not develop that it will now continue to maintain.

Flaregames is likely handing the game over as it focuses on development of its semi-sequel, Nonstop Chuck Norris. The game was officially announced earlier in March 2016.
