Cloud-based development management platform HacknPlan is set to open its services to the public on April 3rd 2017.
HacknPlan is inspired by services such as Trello, but expands its features to be better suited to game development specifically. It does so by being structured as a dynamic game design document that can be edited at will.
The tool allows studios to create boards for multiple projects at once, each of which break down further into separate lists. Different users can be attached to different tasks and their assigned projects can be tracked within their profiles.
Make it pretty
HacknPlan also uses visual metrics to give a better understanding of what areas need to be completed. Colour-coding and pie charts will allow project managers to easily identify problem areas and act accordingly.
The first launch will not include all the features currently planned for the platform, though HacknPlan states that it will update the service frequently.
The platform is free to use with limited features, with prices starting at €5 a month per person for access to all of its features. Pre-orders are available until March 31st with a 33% discount on paid subscriptions.
