Report: Apple set to launch three new iPhones this year

Apple is set to launch three new iPhones as soon as autumn this year, according to a report.

People “familiar with the matter” told Bloomberg that two of the new devices will be upgrades of the current iPhone 7 models on the market.

A new design

The third however will be a brand new iPhone that could feature a new type of screen, curved glass and a more advanced camera.

The dual-camera on the back of the device could be placed vertically rather than horizontally, a move that could help offer improved photos. Dual cameras may also be used on the front.

Apple is thought to be testing both new augmented reality features and better depth of field, which could potentially lead to improved AR game experiences on the iPhone.

The new iPhone could also include a larger, OLED display, with the home button integrated into the screen itself.

It’s unclear due to supply constraints however whether the newly redesigned device will be ready in time for the usual autumn launch date.
