BigBlue Studios' Bogdan Oprescu to head up operations

Remote Control Productions opens Bucharest office

Munich-based Remote Control Productions has opened a new office in Bucharest to expand its developer network in Romania's growing game development scene.

The new branch will be headed up by BigBlue Studios Co-Founder and CEO Bogdan Oprescu. The first company to join the developer network in Bucharest will be announced soon, according to GamesIndustry.biz.

Remote Control Productions operates as a "family" of developers working together on games, with the firm currently representing 13 companies.

It is hoping to tap into the growing indie development community in Bucharest, which currently consists of around 50 developers.

Active and growing

"I was instantly hooked when I heard about the RCP vision of a European family of developers," said Oprescu.

"Here in Romania there's an active and growing independent developer scene which will benefit tremendously from the unique services the RCP group has to offer."

Former Next Games Senior Executive Kalle Kaivola joined Remote Control Productions in February 2017 as its new COO. Part of his responsibilities included establishing new teams as part of the network.
