Zynga has launched yet another in its long line of With Friends games in partnership with Time Warner's entertainment brand People called Crosswords With Friends.
As one would expect from the title, the game sees players partaking in crosswords in competition with their friends. The People partnership brings with it themed crosswords focused on pop culture, along with a regular People-themed crossword every Sunday.
New crosswords will be added to the game on a daily basis, created by a team of 30 crossword constructors. An iMessage edition has also been launched at the same time, so players can take part in crosswords directly from the iMessage app.
So many friends
"As a part of Zynga's portfolio of word and puzzle games, including Words With Friends, Crosswords With Friends reimagines crosswords with content inspired by the hottest trends and breaking news in entertainment," said Jeb Balise, General Manager of Crosswords With Friends at Zynga.
"We're proud to partner with People, the pioneer of pop culture conversations, to deliver an exciting, mind-puzzling crosswords experience to fans of all ages."
Crosswords With Friends joins GIFs With Friends, launched on April 20th 2017, and Boggle With Friends, launched in March 2017, in Zynga's portfolio of recently-released With Friends games.
The original Words With Friends continues to perform well and had 13 million active users in the US in March 2017 alone.
