Stugan reveals the 15 teams taking part in its 2017 accelerator program

Swedish games accelerator program Stugan has revealed the teams and mentors that will take part in its 2017 edition from June 26th 2017.

26 participants forming 15 teams will join the seven-week program to develop a range of games. Applicants come from 15 different countries around the world including Brazil, Singapore, South Africa and beyond.

Mentors for this edition of the Stugan program include Vlambeer's Rami Ismail, Resolution Games' Tommy Palm, Supercell's Mikko Kodisoja and other experts from Oculus, Coffee Stain Studios and more.

Getting the word out

Interest in the Stugan program has increased dramatically since it first started in 2015. Applications rose 20% from its 2016 program and there was a particular increase in applications from women.

"We received a staggering number of applicants that highlighted the very best in indie games development. It was hard to narrow our choice down to just 15 teams, but we're confident that we've selected the participants who will benefit most from what Stugan has to offer," said Stugan Manager Jana Palm.

"Once the summer concludes, these teams will have everything they need to set out into the wider games industry and expand their mark."

More information about the teams can be found on Stugan's website and in the 2017 team trailer below.
