HeyStephenHey to offer marketing services throughout a game's lifecycle

Former Chillingo Marketing Director opens new consultancy

Former EA Chillingo Marketing Director Stephen Hey has set up a new marketing consultancy dedicated to games.

The aim of the new Manchester-based company, called HeyStephenHey, is to provide ‘plug-in’ marketing expertise for independent developers and publishers.

Wide-ranging services

Hey will provide marketing guidance for teams at any time during a game’s lifecycle from helping to steer the initial marketing vision all the way through to launch. He claims to have established relationships with the likes of Sony, Apple and Google.

The consultancy firm plans to support games developed for mobile, console and PC.

"I've always loved working in games but always wanted to work with independent developers who are rich in ideas but don't necessarily have the resources for full-time marketing teams,” said Hey.

“This role allows me to work with developers and publishers who are developing some of the most creative and innovative games in the industry and I can't tell you how exciting that is.”
