Mobile performance firm PacketZoom pushes into EMEA with new General Manager hire

San Mateo-based mobile performance firm PacketZoom has expanded into Europe and the Middle East to bring its mobile application acceleration services to the region.

As part of the expansion, it has hired Amos Ben Yaacov as its new General Manager EMEA to oversee operations. It will also be working with local resellers to target markets including Germany, Italy, and Tel Aviv.

Yaacov joins the company from bob, where he was General Manager for Israel. He has also held numerous roles at Akamai, reaching the position of Senior Director of Security Planning & Strategy before leaving in March 2015.

Reducing frustration

"I have experienced first-hand the frustration that comes from slow app load times and infuriating disconnects throughout Europe, and in my previous roles, I heard from countless customers about their issues with slow and unreliable app performance,” said Yaacov.

"Unfortunately, due to the limitations of the product I was representing, we were unable to alleviate their problems sufficiently. PacketZoom, on the other hand, was built from the ground up for the unique needs of mobile apps, creating a much more effective and reliable solution to address the needs of the market."
