King continues soft launch spree with new IP Brick Wizard

Joins Stellar: Galaxy Commander, Legend of Solgard, Farm Adventure and Candy Crush Friends Saga

King continues soft launch spree with new IP Brick Wizard

King has soft-launched yet another game in Brick Wizardas it continues to experiment with new IP.

The title has been live on Google Play since July 26th 2017 and appears to be a mix of Breakout and Monster Strike.

The game has players firing off spells to destroy blocks and defeat enemies as they look to rack up a high score. Brick Wizard already features over 80 levels for players to dig their teeth into.

Finding the next franchise

King has soft-launched a number of games this year utilising existing IP as well as experimenting with completely new ideas.

Titles aimed at more midcore audiences include the space-themed Stellar: Galaxy Commander and RPG/match-3 title Legend of Solgard.

Other titles in soft launch include Farm Adventure and Candy Crush Friends Saga. King is also known to be developing a new mobile game based on the Call of Duty IP, following Activision Blizzard's takeover of the company.

While still returning to its big brands, it seems King is keen to also develop completely new ideas as it searches for its next hit game that it can turn into a franchise. Particularly in light of the Candy Crush series' still lucrative but diminishing returns.
