Clash of Clans celebrates five-year anniversary with video montage of destruction

Supercell is celebrating the fifth anniversary of the launch of Clash of Clans with a breakdown of the endless destruction which happens in its game.

The developer has stated that players have spent a cumulative 1.9 trillion hours building up and rebuilding their defences. Some buildings in the game can take up to 14 days, or 336 hours, to construct.

Players of Clash of Clans have also secured a total of 44 billion three-star victories over the past two years. This has led to 100 billion Town Halls being destroyed, along with 566 billion Archer Towers and 4.7 trillion Walls.

Keep your eyes peeled

Along with the stats and destruction montage, the developer also teased some further celebrations for the five-year anniversary. Players are expected to keep an eye on the game and the real world for rewards and bonuses.

Clash of Clans is one of the most successful mobile games of all time and one of the longest-running to maintain its success. You can find out more about how the game has evolved over the last five years in our interview with Senior Server Engineer Jonas Collaros.
