On-demand games let users play titles without downloading them

Cloud gaming service Hatch heads into Finland beta

Cloud gaming service Hatch is now available in beta to all Android users in Finland.

The platform offers mobile users a way to play select ‘premium’ games for free. Players can also invite friends to play games together in real-time, as well as record and share gameplay.

The service currently has more than 200 on-demand games from over 80 developers, with no downloads or updates required to play. There are also no in-app purchases in any of the titles.

Partnered up

Current developer partners include Butterscotch Shenanigans, Halfbrick, InXile Entertainment, Double Fine, Ustwo, Bandai Namco, Ubisoft and more.

To get beta access, users must sign up to the website here.

“Hatch is a completely new way of playing on mobile with family and friends,” said Hatch CEO Juhani Honkala.

“Each of us at Hatch love games, and we wanted to create a new place on mobile that would provide the best gaming experiences. We are very gratified to show consumers what we’ve been working on, and we look forward to taking feedback, learning from our fellow game lovers, and constantly improving and evolving.”

We previously spoke to the company about just how Hatch works and what features it offers developers.
