UK games trade body TIGA has partnered with ITN Productions to produce a news and current affairs-style programme on the games industry called The Next Level.

The show will highlight a number of issues facing the UK games industry today, including its access to funding. It will also take a behind-the-scenes look at game development and work on emerging technology. A trailer can be found on TIGA's website.

Among the studios featured in the programme is PlayFusion, the developer of toys-to-life mobile game Lightseekers. TIGA and ITN are also looking for other developers to contribute to the program.

Taking things up a notch

The Next Level is set to be launched at the V&A Museum in London on November 2nd 2017. TIGA will be hosting its Games Industry Awards at the same event.

The trade body most recently awarded 17 game design courses across the UK with its TIGA University Accreditation. The accreditation indicates that the courses have strong links with the industry and students are more likely to get jobs in games after graduation.
