Version management firm Perforce has acquired agile planning tools developer Hansoft for an undisclosed sum.

The acquisition adds Hansoft's service to Perforce's portfolio of products. The firm will now offer up an agile planning and project management toolset alongside its other services.

Hansoft's tools allow development teams to use their preferred combination of agile and waterfall methodologies and change these methodologies on the fly. Managers and executives can also access the tool to see real-time insights and status reports.

A mission to connect teams

“At Perforce, we're on a mission to connect teams to the efficiency, insights, support and security they need to innovate without limits," said Perforce CEO Janet Dryer.

"With this latest acquisition, we’re pleased to build on that undertaking with a unique solution that provides both macro- and micro-level views into enterprise Agile projects."

Hansoft spun out a collaborative planning tool called Favro back in March 2017. It acts as a digital noteboard for development teams to track times and dates on various tasks.
