Hamburg-based mobile game developer Sviper has brought on three new shareholders after completing a secondary share sale in the run-up to the launch of its second game.
Flaregames CEO and founder Klaas Kersting, Agnitio Capital founder and MD Shum Singh, and Babil Games CEO and founder MJ Fahmi are now all shareholders in the developer, while Singh has also joined the board. They will advise the company on its strategy and the launch of its upcoming title.
The unnamed game is a real-time PvP title using matching mechanics. It is currently being developed by a team of 10 and is set to launch in early 2018.
A real honor
"It is a real honor to have some of the most renowned game industry veterans believing in Sviper," said company founder Mark Buchholz.
"Klaas, MJ, and Shum will help us with their experience and deep market knowledge to become one of the leading mobile game studios."
Sviper was established in November 2016 by a team of ex-Innogames staff. It has already launched one game, Wild City Rush, which was localised for China in partnership with publisher iDreamSky.
