Creative Mobile has partnered with FoxNext Games to develop a new licensed mobile game based on the X-Files franchise.
Dubbed The X-Files: Deep State, the game is due to launch at the same time as the X-Files' 11th season in Q1 2018. This will also coincide with the series' 25th anniversary.
Deep State looks to be a narrative-driven point-and-click adventure game in the X-Files universe. Players will look for clues, interrogate suspects, and solve puzzles to help further their case.
For the fans
"We really hope that the X-Files fans will like the game, it has everything that we loved so much in the X-Files television series: human experiments, social insecurity, conspiracies and all kinds of creepy stuff," said a representative from Creative Mobile.
FoxNext has made several partnerships throughout 2017, including with Marvel on a new battler called Marvel Strike Force. It also worked with NHN Entertainment in August on a mobile game based on the Kingsman movie series.
