Digital trading card specialist VirtTrade signs three year partnership with Discovery Channel

Digital trading card app developer VirtTrade has signed a three year partnership with Discovery Communications licensing arm Discovery Global Enterprises.

VirtTrade has already launched the first of two apps, Discovery Card Quest, on the App Store and Google Play. A second title, Animal Planet, is set to launch in 2018.

Discovering publishing

The partnership with Discovery is part of VirtTrade’s expansion into independent publishing.

It aims to specialise in the physical and digital collectibles market, and to that end has developed tech that allows players to collect and trade digital assets such as virtual cards with other users around the world.

The company expects to reveal new partnerships with other IP owners over the next six months.
