Amsterdam-based casual games developer Spil Games has secured 10 million downloads of its mobile game Operate Now: Hospital six months after it was first launched.
The game's installs are said to be 95% organic, and day one retention has hit heights of 50%. Players spend an average of 25.8 minute playing the game each day. A full infographic of other game stats can be found below.
Operate Now: Hospital has also received a major content update, adding in new surgeries to perform, and opening up a new floor for additional rooms. Player hospitals will also be decorated for the Christmas season.
A modest success
"10 million is a modest success but it is definitely a nice milestone for us," said Spil Games CEO Tung Nguyen-Khac.
"It demonstrates a building momentum in our strategic move into mobile gaming. This is our first mobile game with both serious install numbers and significant revenue potential."
Nguyen-Khac wrote previously that the game had surpassed five million downloads three months after launching, indicating a fairly steady growth. You can read more about the game in his guest post from September 2017.
