Epic Games hands out $200,000 to 13 developers in latest round of Unreal Dev Grants

Epic Games has handed out another round of its Unreal Dev Grants with over $200,000 in funding doled out to 13 developers.

AR developer Directive Games was one of the few mobile developers to receive money. The team is known for its game The Machines, which was showcased at Apple's last Special Event alongside the reveal of ARKit.

Korean developer MUST Games also received some funding towards its project Rogue Universe. The game is a mobile strategy title in space with comic book-style graphics and characters.

Rewarding talent

"Unreal Dev Grants is our way to reward and highlight the incredible talent that makes up the Unreal development community," said Epic Games partnership manager Chance Ivey.

"These projects show what is possible when you combine passion with creative technology, and stand as examples of why we do what we do."

The Unreal Dev Grants offer funding to developers across mobile, PC, and console who are using the Unreal engine in their games. It last handed out $275,000 back in May 2017 to developers including One Dream and Playearth.
