Gamevil and Com2us merge US offices to form Gamevil Com2us USA

South Korean mobile games companies Gamevil and Com2us have merged their US offices together to form Gamevil Com2us USA.

The new studio will combine the offices of Gamevil USA and Com2us USA under one centralised office. Together they will perform joint business activities, service operations and marketing specifically for the North America market.

It is not the first time that regional offices for the two companies have merged. Back in July 2017 Gamevil and Com2us merged their Germany-based offices together, as well as their Singapore-based operations.

Consolidation

Gamevil acquired a controlling stake in Com2us back in 2013. The two are both headquartered in Seoul, where they continue to operate as separate entities.

Com2us is best known for its hugely popular RPG Summoners War, which surpassed $1 billion in lifetime revenues back in August 2017.

The developer is now pushing the franchise beyond just one game, with plans for a new MMO game in the future. It has also partnered with Skybound on comics and animation opportunities, and with Funko on a range of merchandise.
