Mobile advertising tech firm Glispa hires Jon Hook as its new chief commercial officer

Mobile advertising tech firm Glispa has appointed former AdColony VP of brands and agencies Jon Hook as its new chief commercial officer.

The role will see Hook commercialising Glispa's suite of advertising solutions, including Glispa Perform, Glispa Connect and Glispa Discover. He will be based in the company's London office and report directly to CEO Itamar Benedy.

Hook has been in the mobile ad tech business for well over a decade. He was a co-founder of Odyssey Mobile in 2010, and has held numerous roles in the industry before taking on the job of VP of brands and agencies at AdColony in November 2016.

A pivotal stage

"In the last two years, we've bolstered our suite of solutions through five strategic acquisitions to include playable ads, a mobile discovery platform, retargeting capabilities and a programmatic exchange," said Glispa CEO Itamar Benedy

"Jon joins at a pivotal stage in Glispa's development, which will see him leverage his strong agency and brand mobile experience to commercialise Glispa's newly branded solutions, synergies across them and further planned acquisitions in the product suite."

Glispa launched its own influencer marketing platform back in August 2016. The "self-service" platform, called Voltu, used Glispa's ad tech to offer campaigns on a global scale.
