Chat app gaming: Let us know what you think

Chat app gaming is one of the hottest emerging trends in the mobile games space - yet it isn't getting as much attention as the likes of augmented reality.

It’s taken a while to get here, but Facebook Instant Games has finally opened up to all developers, allowing them to make titles for the Messenger platform’s 1.3 billion monthly active users.

There’s also iMessage gaming, while WeChat’s mini-games platform (Weixin) opening up to external developers for the first time recently.

It'’s an exciting space with lots of emerging players - but being new also brings a lot of unknowns.

Decoding messenger games

To help demistify the space, for the rest of April we’ll be running articles related to the instant and chat app gaming space.

But we’d like your help too!

Got something to say about player habits? Got tips on how to use bots to increase retention and engagement? Think you know genres chat app gaming is best suited to? Got a great case study to share? Think we should be talking to you for an interview?

Send your article suggestions to PocketGamer.biz Editor Craig Chapple at craig.chapple@steelmedia.co.uk.

If you’ve previously written something on your personal blog that you think is still relevant today, let us know and we’ll share it.
