Each week app market intelligence firm Reflection, in partnership with UKIE, publish the top grossing and most downloaded games from the UK App Store.

So we’re sharing that data each week to give you an insight into how the UK mobile games market is evolving

High ground

The popularity of battle royale titles Fortnite and PUBG Mobile showed little sign of slowing down during the week of April 2nd to 8th, with Fortnite remaining on top of the iPhone and iPad free download charts. While PUBG remained second on iPad, it slipped to fourth on mobile behind Helix Jump and Rise Up.

In terms of grossing performance, Fortnite climbed up to second spot just below stalwart Candy Crush Saga on iPhone.

Elsewhere the bigger movers in the free iPhone chart were Luxury Casino and Word Search Pro, which moved up to sixth and seventh respectively. The top iPad free download frankings meanwhile saw Marvel Strike Force jump to fifth spot.
