PlayMagic set for public expansion on the Swedish Stock Exchange

Malta-based games software developer PlayMagic has partnered up with Gaming Corps Board to expand its business into Sweden.

The new entity is called PlayMagic AB and will trade on the Swedish Stock Exchange with the goal of expanding the team and creating new development opportunities.

The current aim for PlayMagic AB is to be listed on the Swedish MTF trading spot within the fourth quarter of 2018.

“This partnership gives us more resources to grow, expand the studio and the business in the upcoming years” said PlayMagic CEO and Creative Director Giuseppe Crugliano.

“We’re an ambitious studio, and we’ve built ourselves up through clear and effective business strategies, growing from the ground having the privilege to work with great partners. With Gaming Corps next to us, we will continue to pursue that strategy, creating another long-term alliance that gives us immediate access to new business opportunities.”

It’s a kind of magic

PlayMagic was originally formed in 2014 and has released games across console, PC, virtual reality platforms and mobile. The company has also previously worked with games based on licensed IPs from multinationals such as Turner Broadcasting, PineWood Studios, Studio Canal and Universal.

The studio currently employs around 30 people and has an existing base in Sweden, with part of its business development team operating from within the country, as well as from the United States.

PlayMagic has also been working with Gaming Corps as a development partner on a GameMill’s project that began in January 2018.
