Playerunknown's Battlegrounds breaks 400 million players

Battle royale behemoth Playerunknown's Battlegrounds has hit yet another big milestone.

Developer and publisher PUBG Corp has revealed that the title has been played by more than 400m people from around the world. that's across all platforms, including the free-to-play mobile editions.

Additionally, 227m people play the game each and every month, PUBG drawing a crowd of 87m players each and every single day.

That's a lot of chicken 

PUBG has particularly enjoyed success mobile, with Tencent already releasing several mobile variants of Bluehole’s PUBG - which is now technically run by subsidiary PUBG Corp.

China was first up to get its hands on a port when PUBG: Exhilarating Battlefield and PUBG: Army Attack released on February 9th.

The duo proved popular and became the two most downloaded apps worldwide on the iOS App Store within days, despite only being released in China.

PUBG Mobile then followed suit with a Western release and swiftly hit the top spot in the iOS free games chart in 17 different countries within 24 hours of launch, according to App Annie.
