Pokemon Quest passes 7.5 million downloads across iOS, Android and Nintendo Switch

Pokemon Quest has sailed past the 7.5 million download mark across iOS, Android and Nintendo Switch.

The block-themed adventure RPG launched on Nintendo Switch on May 30th and on iOS and Android on June 27th.

According to Sensor Tower, Pokemon Quest made a quick start to life across mobile with 3.5 million downloads within days of launching. It is also said to have made $3 million in revenues in that time.

Not to be outdone, success has also been found on the Switch, with one million downloads coming in less than two days after launch.

A Magneton of downloads

Gameplay revolves around creating a team of pokemon and using touch controls to make them battle with other foes. As the name Tumblecube Island suggests, the title boasts a cubed aesthetic.

It was originally announced alongside two other entries in the Pokemon franchise called Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee.

Described as a remaster of Game Freak’s 1998 hit Pokémon Yellow, the pair also combines functionality with Pokemon Go.

Those titles will hit shelves on November 16th 2018.
