The Big Indie Fest @ ReVersed consumer games expo kicks off in Vienna

The consumer exhibition for The Big Indie Fest @ ReVersed has officially opened its doors.

Taking place in the historic MuseumsQuartier in Vienna, Austria today and tomorrow (July 7th and 8th), around 4,000 members of the general public are expected to attend and see the wide variety of hot indie games on show.

More than 100 of the best indie games developers from central and southern Europe are showcasing their latest work, and visitors can see it all for free.

The Big Indie Fest is housing games across genres and platforms, from console and VR to PC and mobile.

The show will close with an awards ceremony celebrating the best games in five categories from across the weekend’s exhibits, including Best Game, Best Concept, Best Graphics, Most Creative and Best Story.

Room for business

The Big Indie Fest has already had its business-only days. Hundreds of trade visitors attended the show on Thursday and Friday, with developers, publishers, press and platform holders all engaging in meetings.

There was also a packed conference schedule, opened by Vlambeer’s Rami Ismail who discussed the state of the indie scene right now.

If you’re in town this weekend come check out the show!
