Playgendary teams up with ad platform Appodeal to publish casual games

Mobile developer Playgendary has entered a collaborative deal to publish games with ad mediation platform Appodeal.

Developers published by Playgendary will now be given access Appodeal’s monetisation tool, as well as support in structuring the company.

The first team to benefit from the new initiative is Russian studio Internet Expert, which is releasing mobile title Grow Beets.

Playgendary selected the studio at a pitching contest during the White Nights conference in St Petersburg last month.

Growth plans

“The main criteria for the game to be chosen for publishing was a unique gameplay and bright visual style," said Playgendary head of publishing Dmitry Degtyarev.

"Additionally, we were looking for a game that was technically ready for the soft launch, but also had space to allow our ideas and game design experience to make a presence.

“When publishing third-party games Playgendary focuses not only on the marketing side but also pays close attention to the technical qualities, game design improvements and monetisation strategy.

“Above all else, we are a game development team. We strive to cooperate with extremely creative and talented indie teams.

“We are eager to invest our time and share our experience with such game developers to make their games noticeable in the App Store and Google Play.”

Playgendary has previously released titles including Bowmasters, Kick the Buddy, Tank Stars and Partymasters. It has generated more than 150 million downloads across its portfolio to date.
