Swedish publisher MAG Interactive has passed 250 million downloads

Milestone follows a successful IPO for the Ruzzle and Paint Hit creator

Swedish publisher MAG Interactive has passed 250 million downloads

Swedish mobile publisher MAG Interactive has gained over 250 million downloads across its range of titles.

The publisher has a strong presence in word and trivia games like Ruzzle, but has been branching into hyper-casual this year.

Download success comes thanks to games like Paint Hit, which recently broke five million downloads alone for the publisher. The painting shooter made a fifth of those downloads in a single day after launch.

Public interest

The milestone announcement follows the company’s IPO at the end of last year, where it was valued at $137 million.

“Since our inception in 2010 MAG has been building up our audience through high quality content and player satisfaction, which has greatly contributed to reaching this huge milestone,” said MAG Interactive CEO Daniel Hasselberg.

“We work hard to nurture a strong connection between our players and games so that they keep coming back for a fun, brain teasing experience every time.”
