From user acquisition and retention to games growth: Inside the Growth Track at Pocket Gamer Connects Helsinki

It's just over a week until Pocket Gamer Connects Helsinki commences on September 11th and runs to the 12th.

So, as we draw ever closer we’re continuing our look at the 12 tracks on offer.

Today we’re looking at the Growth Track, which focuses on insight into user acquisition and retention techniques along with some handy tips on how to grow games.

The mobile landscape is a tough one to master but fret not, this track will keep visitors well-armed to capture and maintain various players along with monetising effectively.

September 12th

10:00 – Kicking off the day’s activities is a superstar session from DeltaDNA chief strategy officer Isaac Roseboom with seven post-launch CRM strategies you need to know to maximise revenues.

10:20 – Next on up is Chartboost General Manager of EMEA & India Johan Lofstrom on the good, the bad and the ugly sides of in-game monetisation.

10:40 – Following on is Game of Wales CEO Doron Kagan’s session on how AI automation can increase games in-app purchase LTV by 25 per cent.

11:00 – Netmarble EMEA CEO Baris Ozistek is set to deliver a session about going global with games, specifically how to bring titles from Korea to the West.

Our 12 great tracks in full

11:20 – Shortly after Specialist Works chief client officer Matthew Pover will share some insight into how offline advertising can boost your mobile and digital acquisition performance.

11:40 – Taking us up to the afternoon is Wappier CEO Alex Moukas on what to do once users have been acquired and how to maximise revenue.

12:00 – Rounding off the sessions for the day before our panel is 12traits CEO Joe Schaeppi, who will fill us in how why the future of gaming is empathy and how it’s the key to retaining players.

12:20 – Finishing the track off is a panel on the gold standards for acquisition and retention. Chartboost Head of Business Development EMEA Kiki Gavriilidou will be joined by Megacool CEO Nicolaj Petersen, 4Evers Games CEO Katleen Evers and Libring CEO Marcelo Ballestiero.

And that’s it for this year. However, those eight talks make up just one track out of 12 the show will have on offer. Which include our Indie Track, esports academy tack and hyper-casual and chat app games track.
