From YouTubable games to marketing myths: Inside the Influencer Insight track at Pocket Gamer Connects Helsinki

The full conference schedule for Pocket Gamer Connects Helsinki 2018 is now live!

Across the two days of September 11th and 12th, we’ll present an amazing line-up of speakers, featuring more than 120 of the foremost figures from mobile gaming, PC, VR, AR and handheld consoles.

It goes without saying that PG Connects can teach you everything you need to know about building and marketing a game. But who's going to help you sell it?

PG Connects' Influencer Insight track is packed with leaders in the influencer space. Brimming with insight and success stories, these folk are here and raring to share their knowledge.

Here's a rundown of PGC: Helsinki's influencer insight track taking place on September 12th, with everything you need to know about the speakers and their specialities.

Influencer Insight

Session: Game industry influencer campaigns - facts & figures from the trenches
Time: 4:00pm - 4:20pm

The first session of PCG: Helsinki's influencer track will see Nevaly managing director David Kim talk through some pivotal things to consider when running an influencer campaign. Equipped with fresh numbers hot out of the campaign oven, Kim is here to discuss exactly what needs to happen for an influencer collaboration to flourish.

Session: What makes a game 'YouTubable'?
Time: 4:20pm - 4:40pm

Ever wondered what it is about a game that makes tons of YouTubers play it? Well, Traplight Games' community manager Veera Rouvinen has got you covered. Traplight games ran a superb influencer campaign for its flagship mobile title Bang Bang Racing (which we wrote about here) - and Rouvinen is here at PGC: Helsinki to share exactly what makes a title alluring to creators.

Session: Seven myths of influencer marketing and how to overcome them
Time: 4:40pm - 5:00pm

Next up, we have Pixonic marketing manager Andrey Selin here to debunk all of those influencer marketing horror stories. Selin has a strong background in app stores to video production, and his main gig is now performance based influencer marketing. In this talk, Selin will run through seven marketing myths, and to reassure that having influencers on board is ultimately a positive thing.

Session: An ultimate management tool
Time: 5:00pm - 5:20pm

Lastly but certainly not least, we have CMO of Zorka.mobi Dmitry Chudovsky closing the track. Chudovsky is here to highlight the importance of proper campaign management when working with influencers. Without a plan of attack, campaigns can quite easily fall apart. Zorka is armed to the teeth with advice and guidance on how to plan, execute and monitor an influencer campaign from start to finish, to ensure it's as successful as it can be.
