All things cloud gaming at Pocket Gamer Connects Helsinki

Pocket Gamer Connects Helsinki is a mere seven days away and will touch down in Finland on September 11th to 12th.

As such, we’re keeping things on, ahem, track with another look at one of our 12 tracks on offer.

Today, we’re focused on all things cloud gaming with our Game Changers: Cloud and Connected Experiences track. The trend may feel new in the grand scheme of things, but that doesn’t mean you can’t leave our event without a firm grasp on Cloud games.

September 12th

10:00 – Kicking us off for the day is a keynote from Hatch CEO Juhani Honkala on the new reality of cloud gaming.

He'll discuss the top five things it’s learned and what the benefits are for players, developers and publishers.

10:20 – Following on next is Polystream CEO Bruce Grove with a session called “Live In Your The Living Room”.

10:40 – Next up is Exit Games founder Christof Wegmann with some insight into how rollback networking will revolutionise games development.

Our 12 tracks in full

11:20 – Our final session of the day before our panel comes from Playkey VP of gaming strategy Vadim Andreev. The talk will aid listeners in defining what a cloud gamer is and what appeals to the audience.

12:20 – Rounding off our track is a panel called “Cloud Gaming Adoption – The Road To Mainstream?”. Hosted by Honkala, he’ll be re-joined by Andreev along with Frogmind COO Teemu Maki-Patola, Gamehouse strategic partnership manager Joline Schouten and Tamalaki owner Martine Spaans.

And that’s it for this year. However, those five talks make up just one track out of 12 the show will have on offer. Which include our Indie track, esports academy tack and hyper-casual and chat app games track.

To find out more about the fantastic speaker roster, you can check out the full schedule – and keep an eye out for the latest additions and updates in the run-up to the show.

There is also still time to register, which you can do here.
