Lobbying opens for the Mobile Games Awards ahead of its return at Pocket Gamer Connects London 2019

There's just one week left to lobby for the second-ever Pocket Gamer Mobile Games Awards.

Last year’s event was a huge success, shining a spotlight on the best and brightest the mobile games industry has to offer.

The Pocket Gamer Mobile Games Awards 2019 will take place on the evening of Tuesday, January 22nd 2019 (that's just after PGC London draws to a close).

Celebrating the mobile industry

The Pocket Gamer Mobile Games Awards will once again recognise the key players in the mobile sector over the last year. This includes the developers making great games and the publishers helping them find an audience, to the tool makers, service providers and recruiters that support this great industry.

This year we've added a few new categories that celebrate creativity in the industry and recognise the latest trends. The new awards are Best Audio/Visual Accomplishment, Best Storytelling, Best Game Engine, Best Service Provider and Eastern Trailblazer.

Most of the awards will be voted for by a panel industry judges, recognising the hard work of the teams and individuals that have shined over the last year.

A special Pocket Gamer People’s Choice award meanwhile will be voted for by consumers.

We’ll also be awarding a special lifetime achievement accolade, the Mobile Legend award, that recognises a person from anywhere in the world who has achieved a considerable amount of success in their career and has acted as a pioneer in the mobile games space.

Last year’s recipient was Super Evil Megacorp CEO Kristian Segerstrale.
