Oculus mobile app adds Rift Support so users can find and install VR games remotely

The Oculus mobile app has added support for the Rift headset to let users purchase and install games to their PC remotely.

The app also lets users find events and connect with their friends. It’s available on iOS and Android.

Prior to the latest update the app had only been compatible with the standalone Oculus Go headset.

User-friendly

The new features are designed to make it more convenient for users to access VR games. By downloading remotely they won’t have to wait for a potentially lengthy download to complete by going through the entire process on their PC.

The news comes as Oculus unveiled its new mid-tier standalone VR headset, Quest, for $399. It sits between the more expensive Rift hardware and more affordable Go.
