Marvel: Contest of Champions dev Kabam secures office move in Vancouver

Marvel: Contest of Champions developer Kabam has secured seven floors in an unfinished Vancouver tower.

BIV reports that the mobile developer will be the lead tenant at Vancouver Centre II, due for completion in 2021. Kabam has signed on for 105,000 square feet of the 33-storey tower’s total 345,000-square-foot floor space.

As the lead tenant, Kabam will have access to special amenities including the 29th-floor Skyline Rooftop Deck and a fitness facility.

Kabam already has an office in Vancouver, where the Contest of Champions team is based. With new digs, however, it looks as though the company could be expanding its operations.

Star studio

News of the office move comes two years after Netmarble snapped up the Kabam publishing label and a number of assets - including games and studios in Vancouver, San Francisco and Austin.

It had been rumoured at the time that the Vancouver studio alone was valued at $800 million.
