Prior to its mid October launch, Samsung's 2010 sales target for sales of its Galaxy Tab tablet was one million.
Two weeks ago, it announced it had sold 700,000 units but now that's up an additional 300,000, although it's not clear if this number relates to units shipped into retail, or units sold to consumers (likely the former).
Up, up and away
Samsung hasn't broken down sales per territory only to say that it's sold 100,000 in Korea, maybe because the iPad was only launched there this week.
It's also increased its 2010 Galaxy Tab target to 1.5 million, and expects to sell 10 million by the end of 2011.
In contrast, Apple announced it had sold 7.5 million iPads in October, while analysts reckon 2011 tablet sales could be anything from 35 to 70 million units as other OEMs launch into the market.
