Demonstrating one of the massive issues developers have with Google's Android Market, the most successful iPhone game Angry Birds has just gone live.
What issue, you're probably thinking...
Well, the problem is that the game, which has sold over 6.5 million copies on the Apple App Store at 99c, plus another 11 million free, has been released as Angry Birds Lite Beta.
Catchy huh?
What's in a name?
Partly the strange title convention is due to the fact that this is indeed a free beta version of the game.
More importantly however is that fact that there's already a game called Angry Birds available on Android Market.
Priced $1.99, this cyber squatting Angry Birds - developed by CrazyAndroidApps - is apparently, "a great app for pulling practical jokes on your friends".
User comments beg to differ however, with examples such as "It's a scam," "Rip off," and "This should be pulled off market place for false advertising".
A great app for pulling practical jokes on your audience, it's surely one of the few arguments for Google's controversial 24 hour returns policy.
