The launch of Angry Birds Space 10 million downloads and counting has resulted in SwaddleDesigns expanding its range of Rovio-branded babywear to include new designs based on the hit title.
Indeed, to celebrate the continued relationship between the two firms, Swaddle Designs CEO Lynette Damir managed to nab Rovio CMO Peter Vesterbacka (and some suitably attired babies) to pose with the new merchandise at the Seattle Space Needle.
Why the Space Needle? Because Rovio commemorated the launch of its latest game by converting the Seattle landmark into a giant catapult, ready to fire a larger-than-life red bird out into the cosmos.
Hatchlings
SwaddleDesigns has been producing baby apparel emblazoned with the Angry Birds brand since August 2011, and is one of several companies that Rovio has teamed with to produce Angry Birds merchandise.
Nonetheless, Damir was keen to emphasise her company's particularly close relationship with Finnish firm.
"As we approach SwaddleDesigns 10 year anniversary, the Angry Birds Space launch is a great way to celebrate our relationship with Rovio and our accelerating growth," said Damir.
"It is a pleasure to work with Rovio to create the Angry Birds Baby collection - the characters are fun, colorful and endearing.
"We hope our Angry Birds Baby apparel and essentials will bring a smile to the face of new moms and dads who love to play Angry Birds, and now Angry Birds Space."
