According to The Business Insider, it's not been a very merry Christmas over a casual games publisher Oberon, which owns mobile publisher I-play.
It's reporting a major restructuring at its New York headquarters with COO and former Microsoft man Don Ryan having left the company to start up his own operation.
The report suggests up to 100 staff have been let go, although the company has disputed those figures, noting that it's just hired a new CFO and is "making strategy and organisational changes to better position the company for growth. Changes involve some reduction in force, while others include large new investments."
There's no mention whether the changes will directly impact I-play, which was founded in Scotland as Digital Bridges, before rebranding itself in 2005, and being bought by Oberon in 2007.
