Medialets launches universal SDK for ads on iPhone and iPad
Keen to expand on its already solid Apple base, advertising and analytics firm Medialets has announced its plans to launch a universal SDK for iPhone and iPad.

Having released its iPhone and iPod touch analytics product Medialytics on the same day as the App Store's debut, Medialets claims the new SDK will allow studios to switch between ad networks and first-party ad servers.

"This Universal SDK is designed to support Medialets' unique high-value rich media, while also giving publishers the flexibility and control they need for the most effective inventory sales and ad operations – all from one SDK," the company said in a blog post.

"Medialets' Universal SDK also gives publishers server-side control of their app advertising. In other words, you can make changes to ad tags without updating your app, saving time and money."

Medialets claims its click-through rates are between 1 and 8 percent, and the firm believes the new SDK will allow publishers to "benefit from Medialets' high-value rich media while also using their established first-party ad servers all from one SDK".
