UK launch for Lumia 900 looking likely as Carphone Warehouse listing dates June debut
Though Windows Phone fans in the US looked enviously on as Nokia's first Windows Phone handsets rolled out across Europe and Asia at the end of 2011, they arguably got its revenge at CES 2012: the unveiling of the US-only Lumia 900.

The device has already caused analysts to up their Windows Phone estimates, with Nokia touting the handset as one specifically designed for the US market.

That's not to say it won't arrive in the UK at some point in the future. Indeed, Carphone Warehouse – albeit temporarily - listed the phone as 'coming soon' in the UK, with an expected launch date of June 2012.

Carphone where-house?

Lumia 900, which will pack a 4.3 inch touchscreen, front and rear facing cameras and a 1.4GHz CPU and ClearBack AMOLED touchscreen, is currently due to launch in the US in March.

The US version of the phone is also LTE equipped, serving as one of AT&T's flagship handsets, though details of how it'll be adapted to work with European carriers not all of whom support the standard isn't known.

The handset's page on Carphone Warehouse has since been taken down – an image thankfully preserved by Engadget – though the smart bet is Nokia will make some kind of official announcement at Mobile World Congress in February.
